Eulalia Compton Cooper, 91, a longtime Grays Harbor resident passed away on April 20, 2017.

Eulalia was born in Custer, Okla. on Feb. 19, 1926, child of Morris and Bessie Middleton. She married James W. Compton on June 21, 1945. She worked many years as a LPN at Grays Harbor Community Hospital for many years.

She is survived by daughters Mary Massena (Charles) of Buckley, with whom she made her home and Janette (John) Brown of Youngstown, Ohio; sisters Elaine Bewley (Dean) of Yukon, Okla. and Phyllis Cordes (Gordon) of Vicksburg, Miss.; daughter-in-law, Betty Compton (Jim) of Matlock; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Eulalia was preceded in death by her husband James Compton; her second husband Roger Cooper; her sister Margorie Rich; son, Jimmie Compton; and daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Louis Robohm of Roseville, Calif.

There were no services. Her remains will be placed at the Grove Cemetery at Matlock.
