Eileen Wincewicz, 93 years of age and a longtime Montesano, Wash. area resident, died on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center in Montesano, Wash. She was born on March 18, 1924, in Tracy, Calif. to William George and Mary Florence (O’Brien) Hall, originally from Hebburn, England.

Her family moved to Grays Harbor and she graduated from the Aberdeen High School in 1942. She was married to Eddie Wincewicz on Sept. 3, 1949, in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. They returned to the harbor and made their home in Montesano.

She worked as a bookkeeper for L. G. Moore Shake Company. She attended Saint Johns Catholic Church in Montesano for over 60 years.

Eileen is survived by her son, Steven Wincewicz (Cindy) of Redmond, Wash.; her daughter, Susan Wayman (Ed) of Hoquiam; her five grandchildren, Keegan Wincewicz, Karley Weinstein (Joshua), Jeff Wayman, McKenzie Wincewicz and Joey Wayman; a great-granddaughter, Reese Weinstein and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Wincewicz, on Feb. 3, 2000, and her siblings, Winnifred Antich, Honor Smith, Helen Mathiesen, Bill Hall and Francis “Scott” Hall.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at Saint Johns Catholic Church, 414 East Broadway Avenue in Montesano, Wash. Interment will follow at the Wynoochee Cemetery in Montesano, Wash. A time of fellowship for family and friends will then follow in the church social hall.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Church of Montesano or to the Montesano Fire Department.
