Edith Rozmaryn Wilson, 97, a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, died at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

Edith Rozmaryn Wilson, 97, a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, died at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. She was born in Aberdeen Aug. 13, 1921, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Gemski) Rozmaryn. She was predeceased by her parents and 12 siblings.

Edith graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1940. She married Robert Thomas Wilson on April 10, 1943. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage before Bob passed away in 1996.

She worked for Grays Harbor Chair Factory, and later was a sales clerk at Sears and J. C. Penney, retiring in 1975. Edith was a member of the Hoquiam Grandmother’s Club, the Polish Club and a pinochle club for 50 years. She loved traveling and she and Bob took many trips and cruises together with friends. She was also an avid fisherman in her retirement and she and Bob summered at Lake Williams near Cheney, Washington for many years where they could fish every day.

She is survived by two sons: Robert Thomas Jr. (wife Mary) of Lakeland, Forida and Nickolas James (wife Pam and children Sean, Haley and Gabriell), of Aberdeen; two daughters: Constance Mae Anderson (husband Carl and children Kathryn and Lucinda), of Spokane, Washington and Laura Lee Shetler, (daughter Jennifer) of Aberdeen; and also 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held in the Fern Hill Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, March 26, from 9 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at graveside in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen, with reception following at Fern Hill Funeral Home.
