Dorothy L. Moody

Dorothy L. Moody, a long time resident of Cosmopolis and the Aberdeen area, passed away on July 24, 2017, at the Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam. She lived 91 years, all in Washington State.

Dorothy L. Moody, a long time resident of Cosmopolis and the Aberdeen area, passed away on July 24, 2017, at the Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam. She lived 91 years, all in Washington State.

Dorothy is survived by her son Marvin, at the family home, and son Mark and wife Eve from Moscow, Ohio, along with 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren mostly all in Ohio. From a family of eight children, Dorothy’s brother, Ron Frye of Ellensburg, is the last survivor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Marvin Moody, 40 years ago.

Dorothy lived most of her life being involved in church, with over 50 years at Light and Life Community Church. She loved working in the garden, knitting and crocheting, driving people to/from Medical Travel. She also traveled to see Alaska, New Mexico, Ohio and three months in Germany.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Dorothy’s memory on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Light and Life Community Church, 2740 Simpson Ave., Hoquiam. In lieu of flowers, donations to Light and Life Church would be appreciated.
