Dorothy L. Lytle, 86 years of age and a longtime Hoquiam, Wash. area resident, died on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Wash.

Dorothy L. Lytle, 86 years of age and a longtime Hoquiam, Wash. area resident, died on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Wash. She was born in Seattle, Wash. on June 10, 1931, to Fabien and Dora (Boggs) Kuney.

She resided in Anacortes and there she met Lawrence Arnold Lytle. They were married on April 17, 1949, in Snohomish, Wash. and made their home in Hoquiam. She was an avid bowler and bowled in numerous bowling leagues and had been the secretary of the Womens League for over 20 years. She had taken 3rd place in the nationals, and had been named to the Grays Harbor Bowling Hall of Fame. She also enjoyed football, especially the Seahawks and Huskies.

Dorothy is survived by her five sons, Lawrence A. Jr. (Debbie) Debra Lytle of Hoquiam, Michael C. (Kathryn) Lytle of Hoquiam, James L. (Kelly) Lytle of Aberdeen, Robert E. Lytle of Glendale, Ariz. and Kenneth W. (Kandice) Lytle of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Arnold Lytle who died on Aug. 3, 2016, and a sister, Betty Telgenhoff..

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1200 Soule Avenue in Hoquiam. Interment will be at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park followed by a reception at the church.
