Dorothy Dephine Bronson, 92, lifetime harborite, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at Riverside Place in Hoquiam, Wash.

Dorothy was born on April 5, 1925, in Aberdeen to Ralph and Margaruet (Kaifer) Vasbinder. She graduated from Weatherwax high school in 1943.

On Sept. 16, 1943, Dorothy married Jack Oliver Bronson in Aberdeen while he was on leave from the Navy. They had been married for 72 years when he passed away on Sept. 7, 2015.

Dorothy worked for Strand Cannery as a Filletter; overseas Casing Co of Seattle, Wash. stuffing sausage casings and lastly as a medical transcriptionist at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen.

Dorothy was an excellent cook, loved to sew, crocheted and knit.

Dorothy is survived by a son, Alan (Linda) Bronson of Montesano and a daughter Gail (Ken) Flodstrom of McCleary; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Phillip Bronson and five siblings.
