Dennis “Denny” Carlton Brabon, 71, a lifetime Raymond resident passed away March 15, 2018, in his home.

Dennis “Denny” Carlton Brabon, 71, a lifetime Raymond resident passed away March 15, 2018, in his home. Denny was born Jan. 30, 1947, to Dodsy (Carlton) and Margie (Niemcziek) Brabon in Raymond, Wash.Dennis graduated from Willapa Valley High School in 1966. He served in the Army from 1966 to 1968 when he was honorably discharged. He was a Sargent, a Vietnam veteran, and a recipient of a Bronze Star, and a Purple Heart. After discharge, he returned to his job at Weyerhaeuser, where he became a Truck Mechanic. He retired in December of 2000 after 32 years of employment. On July 3, 1982, he married Christine Worthington, who survives him at the family home in Raymond.

Denny enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting, traveling in his motor home, collecting coins, and spending time with friends and family. Denny had a great sense of humor and could always be counted on to have a story to tell.

Surviving Denny are his wife Chris of Raymond, his Aunt Derla McCartney (91) of Nevada, a daughter Dawn Brabon of Raymond, Alexis Hood, granddaughter of Raymond, and Victor Hood, grandson of Cheney. He was preceded in death by his sister Deanna Carlson in May of 2014, his parents Dodsy, in 1982, and Margie, in 1976.
