Leon and Winifred Gowan

A memorial service for East County residents Leon “Lee” R. Gowan who died Feb. 5, and Winifred L. Gowan, who died Feb. 7, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.

Donations may be made to the Lee and Winnie Gowan Educational Fund for Elma High School Graduates, c/o Grays Harbor Community Foundation, P.O. Box 615, Hoquiam, WA 98550.

Cheryll A. Lewis

McCLEARY — Cheryll Ann Lewis of McCleary died Sunday, March 17, 2019, in McCleary. She was 58.

A celebration of her life was held March 23 at New Beginnings Bible Fellowship in Tumwater.

Arrangements are by Mills and Mills in Tumwater.

Ronald A. Durkee

BREMERTON — Ronald Allen Durkee of Port Orchard died Monday, March 18, 2019, at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. He was 78.

He will be placed at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Montesano.

Shirley J. Emery

MONTESANO — Longtime Montesano-area resident Shirley Jeanette Emery died on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at her home near Montesano. She was 82.

She was raised and attended the schools in Aberdeen and worked on the family farm.

At her request there be no formal funeral service.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
