LaVonda K. Turpin

LaVonda Kaye Turpin, a longtime resident of Hoquiam, died Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 65.

She worked at Swanson’s for 25 years.

A celebration of life and potluck will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 at the 40 et 8 in Aberdeen.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary of Hoquiam.

Stephen L. Brill

SEATTLE — Grayland resident Stephen LeRoy Brill died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. He was 56. He had been a hook tender.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date and details will follow in The Daily World.

Cremation arrangements are by Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Arleta K. Holland

Arleta Kay Holland of Aberdeen died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 70.

No formal services will be held.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary.

Robert L. Beeson Jr.

Robert Lee Beeson Jr., a resident of South Bend, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018. He was 45.

He was the human resources manager for Goose Point Oyster.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Willapa Harbor Helping Hands, P.O. Box 597, South Bend, WA 98586.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Community Chapel in South Bend followed by a reception at the church.

Arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.

Sherry L. Mattocks

COPALIS CROSSING — Sherry Lynn Mattocks, a resident of Copalis Crossing, died Saturday, July 28, 2018,, at home. She was 71.

She had worked as a waitress and bartender in various Harbor businesses.

A private family urn committal will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
