Steve R. Abbott

Cosmopolis resident Steve Roy Abbott died Sunday, July 1, 2018, in Cosmopolis. He was 61.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 11 years, then an additional eight years in the National Guard. He also worked for Pacific Veneer, and Weyerhaeuser in Raymond and Aberdeen.

A celebration of his life and potluck will be held outdoors at the Cosmopolis Lions Park at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

McCLEARY — Kay Louise Niemi of McCleary died Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Beehive Retirement Center in McCleary. She was 64.

MONTESANO — Carolyn Jean Stewart of Hoquiam died Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 69.

OLYMPIA — Clara Jean Turnbaugh of Lacey died Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in Olympia. She was 87.

She will be placed at Satsop Cemetery at a later date.

Homer Larry Schearin of Westport died Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Pacific Care Center. He was 76. At his request no formal services will be held.

A celebration life for Copalis Beach resident Patricia Earline Bishop, who died June 26, in Tacoma, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Copalis Beach Community Church with a potluck reception following.
