Charles E. Yucha

Charles Elmer Yucha was born in Elma, Wash. Aug. 20 1921, to Walter and Nora Yucha of Montesano/Aberdeen.

Charles Elmer Yucha was born in Elma, Wash. Aug. 20 1921, to Walter and Nora Yucha of Montesano/Aberdeen. A Cosmopolis resident for over 55 years, he passed on Feb. 16, 2018, at Robert Darrell and Sheri Yucha’s residence in Vallejo, Calif.

He was raised in Satsop, Wash. and was a mechanic for several car dealers during the 30s, then served during WWII in the South Pacific in the Army Air Force.

Charles married Emmy Lu Pearson in 1947, they were married 60 years until her passing in 2007.

He worked for L.G. Issacsons in Aberdeen, was a teamster with O.N.C. Truck Lines and Puget Sound Truck Lines in the late 40s. He then started and owned Triple City Mower and Repair in South Aberdeen from 1952 until retirement in 1984. He was also on the City of Cosmopolis’s planning commission for 20 years. He was a member of the F.O.E. (Eagles) And life member of the VFW In Aberdeen.

Charles is survived by his son Robert Yucha of Vallejo, Calif.; four grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Richard Yucha and Alfred Yucha.

A memorial service will be held on May 1, 2018, at the Cosmopolis Gospel Chapel in Cosmopolis at 12:00 noon.
