Carol Lee Birmingham passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at her Aberdeen residence.

Carol Lee Birmingham passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at her Aberdeen residence. She was born March 8, 1930, to the Grays Harbor pioneer family of George and Romayne (Pearson) Easter. She grew up in Aberdeen where she met and married Wayne King Sr. in 1948. They had nine children then divorced in 1964. Carol married Glen Beck in 1965. He died in 1967. She married Wayne Birmingham in 1974 and enjoyed 30 years with him until his death in 2004.

Carol worked at a variety of jobs during her life, from local canneries to waitressing, cooking and manager at Sharon Guest Home in Tacoma until her retirement. Being a caregiver was her most rewarding occupation.

She enjoyed life and found great comfort in her Bible. Faith, Family and Friends were her “Everything.”

Carol was a gifted quilt maker for her large family. She enjoyed camping at Swinging Bridge, music, beachcombing, playing card games, Bingo, solving puzzles and the SEAHAWKS!

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Romayne Easter, her husband Wayne Birmingham, two sons Ronnie D. King and Wayne King Jr. and four great-grandchildren.

She is survived by four brothers: Richard (Maryanne) Easter, Amboy, Wash., Don (Paulene) Easter, Aberdeen, Wash., Sam (Barb) Easter, San Antonio, Texas and John (Marilee) Easter, Amboy; eight children: Kathy Eddy, Aberdeen, Carol S. Willis, Newport, Ore., Carmelia Cobain, Aberdeen, Karen Luther, Aberdeen, Terry King, Ryderwood, Wash., Trudy Hall, Lincoln City, Ore., Lorri Gondeck, Onamia, Minn. and Kevin (Amy) Beck, Toledo, Ore.

Her gentle spirit and kind eyes will be greatly missed. She gave her many descendants (101) the greatest gift of all, unconditional love. At Carol’s request there will be no service.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
