Anna Lee Briner, 82, a longtime resident of McCleary, Wash., passed away on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at her home in McCleary, Wash.

Anna Lee Briner, 82, a longtime resident of McCleary, Wash., passed away on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at her home in McCleary, Wash.

She was born on May 25, 1935 in Clarksville, Ark. to Floyd and Dessalene (Brinks) Self.

On May 3, 1953, Anna married Franklin E. Harp and they later divorced. In 1975, she married Herman Briner and shortly thereafter divorced.

She later had a long-term companion Harry Haskell who passed away in 2002.

Anna worked for the McCleary Simpson Door Co. from 1977 until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed the outdoors and liked traveling in her 5th wheel; as well as, fishing, and camping when she was younger. She was also an avid gardener and took pride in the appearance of her garden and yard. Later on she enjoyed spending time with her family and taking them out on family dinners.

Anna is survived by her two sons: Dale W. Harp and Fiancé Marcie Alderman of Montesano and Timothy E Harp and wife Caroline of Elma; a sister Carol Linton of Ephrata, WA; three grandchildren: Rasine, Natasha and Ashley; four great grandchildren: Kaiden, Kody Jo, Kruz and Kali. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Dessalene; a brother, William Self, two sisters: Patsy Self and Shirley Cooper and a grandson, Kody Harp.

There will be a time of visitation and viewing on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 1-8 p.m. at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Wash.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at North West Life Center (215 3rd St. Elma, Wash.) Please join us for a reception immediately following.
