Volunteers Jump into Comcast Cares Day

At Roger Jump Memorial Field in Hoquiam

Scores of volunteers turned out at Roger Jump Memorial Field in Hoquiam on Saturday for the 16th annual Comcast Cares Day, a volunteer project in which the company’s employees and their families give back to their community.

Comcast employees, family and friends and community members performed clean-up, landscaping, field maintenance, painting and facility repairs such as replacement of siding at the popular baseball field.

Roger Jump Memorial Field is located on the east end of Olympic Stadium. More than 400 children in the greater Grays Harbor area use the sports facility.

The work was done in conjunction with Hoquiam Youth Baseball and the City of Hoquiam and other sponsors.
