US 101 Chehalis River Bridge reduced to one lane in each direction Feb. 24

Closure to allow repairs to bridge pier protection system

The Department of Transportation is warning drivers who use the US 101 Chehalis River Bridge in Aberdeen to allow for extra time during their commute Friday, Feb. 24 as crews repair the bridge’s pier protection system.

The roadway will be restricted to one lane in each direction from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 24. The lane closures and traffic shift will allow maintenance crews to lower materials from the bridge deck to repair the pier protection system which deflects debris from the bridge’s upright support structure.
