Transient arrested in alleged robbery attempt of espresso stand

A homeless woman was arrested after an alleged robbery attempt at the Perfect View Espresso stand on Port Industrial Road in Aberdeen on Wednesday evening, according to Aberdeen Police Lt. Dale Green.

An employee reported a woman demanded money at the stand around 5:19 p.m. before fleeing the scene. The suspect was found a few blocks away and admitted she made the demand for money. An employee of the stand identified her as the robber, said Green. She did not take any money, and was not carrying a weapon according to police reports.

The 32-year-old suspect was arrested for investigation of robbery and transported to the Aberdeen Jail, where she was booked, said Green.
