Suspected heroin, meth dealer busted in Aberdeen

Updated Sept. 20 with corrected Drug Task Force tip line number

After a yearlong investigation, the Grays Harbor Drug Task Force arrested a 55-year-old Aberdeen man on charges related to the sale of heroin and methamphetamine on Wednesday, Sept. 15.

The task force was aided by the Aberdeen Police Department when serving the warrant at a residence in the 300 block of East Third Street in Aberdeen, said Detective Sgt. Darrin King.

“Methamphetamine, heroin, cash and drug paraphernalia were seized in the warrant service,” said King. “The apartment that was searched is directly across the street from St. Mary’s Church, approximately one block away from the front door of Aberdeen High School, and less than two block away from St. Mary’s School.”

King said tips about suspected drug activity are encouraged to precipitate more busts like Wednesday’s.

“The Grays Harbor Drug Task Force, as well as all the law enforcement agencies of Grays Harbor County, continue to make illegal drug traffickers a top priority,” he said. “Drug dealers are the biggest threat to our communities. If you know of drug dealers in our community you are urged to call the tip line at 360-500-4141.”
