Road repairs to slow traffic on bridge outside Monte

Motorist should expect delays this week as crews work to repair portions of the highway on the State Route 107 Chehalis River Bridge just south of Montesano.

Drivers who use the State Route 107 Chehalis River Bridge just south of Montesano can anticipate minor delays this week while Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews resurface sections of the roadway and bridge deck between mileposts 6.9 and 7.9.

Single-lane alternating traffic will be in place between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 through Thursday, Aug. 25. Crews will repair the northbound lanes on Tuesday, and finish on Thursday with repairs to the southbound lanes.

Repaving the surface of SR 107 helps reduce potholes and wheel ruts making for a smoother, safer ride for drivers.
