Reward more than doubles for information in 2015 Long Beach murder

Jeff Beach was attacked and beaten to death while in town for a softball tournament

The reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect or suspects in the July 2015 murder of then 36-year-old Jeff Beach on the Long Beach Peninsula has gone up to $36,000 after Beacon Plumbing in Seattle announced a contribution of $25,000 at the Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound fundraiser in Seattle Sunday.

“We are very appreciative of the generousness of Beacon Plumbing as they have made a significant contribution to Crime Stoppers to increase the reward in this case,” said Pacific County Sheriff Scott Johnson. “We hope that someone will come forward with the additional information needed that will allow us to make an arrest in this case. We believe this case can and will be solved.”

Beach was visiting the area for a softball tournament when he reportedly suffered a severe beating July 3, 2015. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and died the next day after being airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The Beacon Plumbing donation has been added to the $1,000 reward offered by Crime Stoppers and another $10,000 raised by Beach’s family.

“With your help we would like to see justice served and the family get some degree of closure,” said Johnson. “If you have any information please call us immediately at 360-875-9397 or use the Crime Stoppers tips app at P3Tips on your phone, or P3Tips.com.”
