Quigg Bros. Construction entry earns sweepstakes award

Hundreds of people lined the streets of Montesano Saturday evening for the 2018 Festival of Lights parade.

Taking the sweepstakes award was Quigg Bros. Construction. The Hoquiam Loggers Playday entry was awarded best of theme. The parade ended with a tractor pulling the yule log into Fleet Park.

The Festival of Lights continues Sunday with an art show at Whitney’s Chevrolet featuring local artist Ken Hurley from 10-3, a cribbage tournament at Bulldog Lanes at 10 a.m., a yule log celebration at Schafer State Park at 1 p.m. and a Christmas Cantata at the United Methodist Church at 7 p.m.
