Police arrest four in Central Park after executing search warrants

Aberdeen Police detectives arrested four adults and discovered suspected illegal drugs after executing search warrants in Central Park on Monday.

According to the Aberdeen Police Department, the search warrants were executed after tracking down leads from a burglary investigation in Aberdeen reported over the weekend. The robbery investigation led detectives to the Central Park homes in search of stolen firearms. Detectives served the warrant at a compound of trailer residences in the 3900 block of Lake Aberdeen Road.

The Aberdeen Regional Crisis Response Unit (CRU) was activated for assistance with the warrant, as a result of known firearms involvement. Four adults were arrested, all who were residents of the searched area. The detectives found suspected methamphetamine and heroin at the site.

Aberdeen Lieutenant C.J. Chastain said there were a variety of charges on the four arrested, including two state Department of Corrections warrants, misdemeanor warrants, and there is pending investigation related to information being forwarded to the county Prosecutor’s Office for possible drug offenses.

Detectives are still tracking leads on the whereabouts of the firearms, and the investigation is ongoing.

The CRU is composed of officers from the Aberdeen, Hoquiam, Cosmopolis and Montesano police departments, and deputies from the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office.
