A Rochester woman who had been missing since Tuesday was found Sunday afternoon, a Thurston County Sheriff’s Office sergeant said.

Sharon Lee Leaming, 70, was found alive after her vehicle had gone over a 30-foot embankment in Grays Harbor County on U.S. Highway 12 at milepost 33, said Sgt. Dave Odegaard. She was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The Washington State Patrol said late Sunday that the woman had a medical emergency prior to her crash.

Leaming was last seen Tuesday morning when she left her home for a family property in North Cove according to the sheriff’s office.

After her trip to North Cove, she didn’t return home. Her cellphone was later traced to the Oakville area, but a search for her was unsuccessful.
