GGHI Monthly Business Forum to address the housing crisis and its effects on the business community

Finding affordable quality housing can be a challenge in Grays Harbor. With the addition of Overstock.com and Fuller Hill Development Corporation in Satsop Business Park and the upcoming expansion of Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, the need for additional housing for employees will only increase in East County and throughout Grays Harbor. However, with such a growing demand, why is there a lack of new housing developments?

Join us for a panel presentation on the underlying factors contributing to the housing crisis in Grays Harbor County and rural Washington. The discussion will focus on the need for additional housing for both low and moderate-income households, how this issue is affecting employee recruitment and retention, and possible solutions to address this growing problem.

The Business Forum Lunch is scheduled for April 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church, located at 1200 Soule Avenue in Hoquiam. Lunch is included in the $20 cost for members of GGHI and $25 for non-members.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP by Monday by calling Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. at (360) 532-7888, or email Candie Gleason at candie@graysharbor.org.
