Felony assault warrant issued for suspect in Saturday’s shooting at Northwest Passage

Rigoberto Puga-Delarosa wanted by Aberdeen police for shooting into occupied vehicle

Aberdeen police are asking for the public’s help in finding 26-year-old Rigoberto Puga-Delarosa, wanted in connection with a shooting incident outside the Northwest Passage tavern early Saturday morning.

Puga-Delarosa, known as Rigo, is wanted on a second degree assault warrant and police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Aberdeen Police were called to the Northwest Passage at 617 W. Curtis St. just after 2 a.m. Saturday for reports of a large fight in the parking lot, then of gunshots in the area. Witnesses said it was Puga-Delarosa who did the shooting, firing numerous rounds into an occupied vehicle before fleeing in a white car as a passenger, police say. Nobody was injured in the shooting, though some had minor injuries associated with the fight.

Puga-Delarosa has a lengthy criminal record and is a convicted felon, police said. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the department at (360) 533-3180 or Grays Harbor Dispatch’s non emergency number, (360) 533-8765.

Police also caution against trying to approach or detain Puga-Delarosa.
