Expect delays at Riverside Bridge in Hoquiam Sunday morning

Maintenance work scheduled between 6 a.m. and noon

Drivers using northbound Highway 101 in Hoquiam at the Riverside Bridge are encouraged to plan extra travel time on Sunday morning, according to a statement released Tuesday by the Department of Transportation.

Maintenance crews will intermittently lift the Riverside Bridge drawspan over a six-hour period while they make mechanical repairs. Lifting the drawspan will close the bridge to traffic.

From 6 a.m. to noon Sunday, May 20, drivers using the bridge could encounter up to 15-minute days. Travelers are encouraged to plan extra travel time to help avoid delays.
