An Enumclaw woman was injured when she fell asleep while driving on Highway 101 about six miles south of Cosmopolis on Saturday morning, according to the State Patrol.
The 26-year-old woman was driving northbound about 5:15 a.m. when she fell asleep and the silver 2013 Ford Explorer she was driving drifted off the shoulder, down the embankment, rolled and came to a rest on the driver’s-side door partially onto Artic Road, according to the State Patrol.
The injured woman was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries. She faces a charge of second-degree negligent driving, said the State Patrol report.
