Aberdeen police officers responded to a report of a weapons display in the 1900 block of West Second Street in Aberdeen Monday evening, according to Aberdeen Police Lt. Kevin Darst.

A woman had reportedly displayed a handgun during an argument with her son-in-law. Upon arrival shortly after 7 p.m., officers separated the parties involved and it was determined that there was probable cause to arrest the female. The 52-year old woman was taken into custody and booked on the charge of first degree assault, domestic violence. The gun and case were placed into evidence at the station.
