The treasurer of the Cosmopolis Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Student Organization has been suspended pending police investigation that she used the organization’s funds for personal use.

According to a press release from the Cosmopolis PTSO, the remaining officers in the organization, as well as school district administrators, are fully cooperating with law enforcement and the investigation by the Cosmopolis Police Department. The PTSO and the district are working together to mitigate the impact on students, the release states.

“At this time, (the) PTSO is not be able to make further comment as this an active investigation,” the release states.
