Wynooche Masonic Lodge 43 awarded its annual scholarships during an April 23 ceremony at the Masonic Temple in Montesano.

The 2018 recipients were Rachel Ayres of Montesano Jr./Sr. High School, Hannah Hartley of Elma High School and Cody Boothe of Mary M. Knight High School.

Each year, the local schools nominate outstanding juniors; and the following year, when they are seniors, one is selected from each school for $1,000 scholarships.

The juniors recognized this year:

Mary M. Knight: Kaylee Sowle, Zackery Thompson and Austin Nelson.

Montesano: Mattilyn Ekerson, Glory Grubb, Alexis Lovell, Hero Winsor, Kati Granstrom, Evan Bates, Bryce Englund, Shaydon Farmer, Payson Parker and Teeagan Zillyett.

Elma: Molly Johnston, Emily Rockey, Morgan Thompson, Madelyn Clark, Brooke Sutherby, Benjamin Bridge, David Billerbeck, Florencio Ramirez, Samuel Schneider and Caleb Ward.
