Masons honor outstanding students

Wynooche Masonic Lodge #43 hosted its 54th annual school awards ceremony and reception April 22 at the Masonic Temple in Montesano.

The area’s three high schools nominate outstanding students during their junior year. The following year, when they are seniors, one from each school is selected to receive $1,000 scholarships. The recipients of this year’s scholarships were Evan Bates of Montesano High School, Kaylee Sowle of Mary M. Knight High School and Molly Johnston of Elma High School.

The outstanding juniors recognized this year are:

Grace Potts, Kaelyn Burgher, Kayli Johnson, Quin Mikel, Jullian Bieker, Cody Vollan, Ezekiel Mueller, Memphis Morgan, Damian Bollweg, Brady Shriver and Kolton Morgan, all of Elma High School;

Anna Ayres, Sophie Barre, Elaina Diaz, Abi Parkin, Ava Poler, Braden Dohrmann, Brent Hollatz, Tanner Nicklas, Ben Royer and Sam Winter, all of Montesano High School; and

Jadyn Davidson, Larry Picich and Kaleb Riggs, all of Mary M. Knight High School.
