GHC sets Bishop Center’s 2019-20 schedule

Grays Harbor College this week released the Bishop Center’s performance schedule for the 2019-20 season.

The two-day Fiesta en el Puerto will kick things off July 26-27, highlighting a variety of Latino performing arts. Musicians and dancers will brighten the Bishop stage as vendors sell their crafts and foods on the GHC campus.

Sept. 28: Country music star Carlene Carter, granddaughter of guitar pioneer Mother Maybelle Carter and daughter of June Carter Cash and Carl Smith

Oct. 8: Osebo’s Drum, with Parents Choice Award-winning storyteller Robbi K

Oct. 12: Veserium, a virtual electronic music duo

Oct. 20: Che Apalache, a four-man string band that plays bluegrass melded with Latin American styles

Oct. 26: Midnight showing of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” with a shadow cast performing simultaneously

Nov. 8-17: “You Can’t Take It With You,” GHC’s fall drama

Nov. 24: Grays Harbor Symphony performance

Dec. 5: GHC Jazz concert

Dec. 8: Andrew Allen, a Canadian singer/songwriter

Feb. 1: Talo Aluko channels civil rights campaigner Paul Robeson in a one-man play to kick off Black History Month

March 6-14: “Oliver,” GHC’s winter musical

March 19: GHC Jazz concert

April 14: RupLoops, an interactive performance of vocal percussion

April 18: Quartom will offer a capella interpretations ranging from classical to the Beatles

April 23: Delphia will perform soulful jazz and share inspirational stories

May 7-9: GHC 10-Minute Play Festival

May 31: Grays Harbor Symphony concert

June 7: Grays Harbor Civic Choir & Concert Band performance

June 13-14: GHC Opera Workshop performance

June 18: GHC Jazz concert
