‘Curtain Up!’ coming to Hannan Playhouse

The Willapa Players will present “Curtain Up!” for the next two weekends at the Hannan Playhouse in Raymond.

In this two-act farce by British playwright Peter Quilter, a group of women inherit equal shares in an old ruined theater and get involved in all kinds of chaos and hijinks to save it from destruction. It has been described as a mad play full of dynamism, momentum, funny dialogue, great surprises and lots of laughter.

Liz McCollum is directing this production. Cast members are Bre Amacher, Marissa Hurley, Charity Royanne, Deborah Sturgill and Nadine Zakel.

There’s a bit of salty language, so parental discretion is advised.

The showtimes for May 3-5 and 10-12 are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are available at the door, or in advance at South Bend Pharmacy, Raymond Pharmacy and Everyone’s Video and More.

The Hannan Playhouse is located at 518 Eighth Street in Raymond.
