Arts & Crafts Festival moved to Labor Day

Prospective vendors must send a picture or detailed description of their work along with entry fees.

Ocean Shores’ annual Arts & Crafts Festival has been moved up a week this year.

“The Convention Center offered us Labor Day weekend instead of the second weekend in September, so we jumped on it,” said Kathy Harris, treasurer of Associated Arts of Ocean Shores, the nonprofit that organizes the event. “Attendance has been down the last few years, and we think holding it on Labor Day instead will be a winner.”

The Fine Arts Show presented by the association every April is funded through proceeds from the September festival.

In anticipation of a larger crowd for the holiday weekend, the association will offer more vendor booths, a beer garden, live music, a drum circle and more.

Booth spaces are 10 feet square and range from $125 to $200, depending on location. Prospective vendors must send a picture or detailed description of their work along with a nonrefundable entry fee. Space is limited, so reservations should be made as soon as possible.
