Michael L. Dunn, of Montesano, Washington, passed away at his home on July 20, 2010. He was born in Horton, Kansas, to Robert P. and Alice (Roubidoux) Dunn.  
Michael’s family moved to Montesano. He attended and graduated from Montesano Jr/Sr High School in 1974. His fondest high school memory was his days on the football field as the running back and defensive back.  After graduating, Michael worked in the Timber Industry logging for twenty years. He then made a career change to heavy equipment operating, working for IUOE Local 302 as a crane operator. He enjoyed golfing, outdoor activities, going to the casino, playing poker, slow pitch and basketball. He was also a huge sports fan, especially of high school and college teams. Second to his family, was the love he had for his “baby”, a Harley Davidson. He was an enrolled member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas - Nebraska.
On May 4, 2009 he married his high school sweetheart Elaine Powell, she survives him at the family home. In addition to his wife, Elaine, Michael is survived by his three daughters; three sisters, a brother, his mother and many more family members and friends. His father preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held in Hiawatha, Kansas on August 2, 2010. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date in Montesano to be announced.
