ASAP Business Solutions: United Way coat, shoe and blanket drive a success

Company partners with United Way and other agencies for their annual drive.

In early 2016, ASAP Business Solutions opened its office in Aberdeen.

Owner Nate Yanez set out looking for ways ASAP could get involved in its new community. He was approached in June by United Way and Donna Rosi from Alpha Media to partner in their annual coat, shoe and blanket drive.

Yanez put up the initial seed money and volunteers started a fundraising campaign.

In the end a successful $11,600 was raised. Fifteen schools participated in the drive. The money that was left over went toward the purchasing of sleeping bags, raincoats and socks for anyone in the community who may have need.

Salvation Army got involved and donated 100 vouchers that could be redeemed for coats as well.

On Nov. 5, ASAP opened its doors for the distribution day.
